Dahua IP Camera in Pakistan – PoE WizMind & WizSense AI Models with NVR

Dahua IP cameras transmit Full HD to 4K video over a single CAT6 network cable using PoE (Power over Ethernet), one cable for both power and data, no separate power supply at each camera. They connect to a Dahua NVR (Network Video Recorder) for centralized recording, or stream directly to the cloud and mobile app.

At PAK Communications, we stock the complete Dahua IP range, entry-level Lite series, mid-tier Pro series, and AI-powered WizSense and WizMind series with face detection, ANPR (licence plate recognition), and intrusion analytics. Resolutions span 2MP, 4MP, 5MP, and 8MP (4K), with bullet, dome, turret, fisheye, and PTZ form factors.

Every camera is ONVIF-compliant, supports H.265+ Smart Codec for half the storage cost of older models, and connects to the same DMSS mobile app for remote viewing on phone or desktop.

When a Dahua IP Camera is the Right Choice,

IP cameras aren't always the answer, they cost more upfront and need network infrastructure. But for these scenarios, they're the only sensible option:

  • New construction or renovation where CAT6 cabling is part of the build — PoE saves you a separate power circuit at every camera point
  • Multi-floor offices where you need 16+ cameras feeding one centralized NVR with role-based user access
  • Properties needing AI features, face recognition for attendance, ANPR for vehicle entry, people counting for retail
  • Multi-site monitoring where cameras at branch offices feed one head-office dashboard via P2P cloud
  • High-resolution requirements beyond 4K, Dahua IP scales to 12MP and higher, while HDCVI tops out at 8MP

For existing buildings with coaxial cabling and basic surveillance needs, HDCVI analog is more cost-effective. Consider the Dahua Cameras hub to compare across all technology types.

How Dahua PoE IP Cameras Work

A Dahua IP camera converts captured video into a digital stream and sends it over a single CAT6 Ethernet cable to either a PoE switch or a PoE-enabled NVR. The same cable carries DC power back to the camera — eliminating the need for separate 12V wiring.

Six technical points matter when buying:

PoE class: standard PoE (15.4W) handles fixed bullet and dome cameras; PoE+ (30W) is needed for varifocal motorized lens models; PoE++ (60W) is required for IR PTZ cameras with active heaters.

ePoE (Extended PoE): Dahua's proprietary technology that runs PoE up to 800 metres on standard CAT6 (vs the 100m limit of standard PoE). Important for warehouses and large industrial sites.

ONVIF compatibility: every current Dahua IP camera is ONVIF Profile S/T/G compliant, so they work with third-party NVRs and VMS platforms (not just Dahua NVRs).

ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment): when network connection drops, the camera records to its onboard SD card. When the network returns, recordings sync back to the NVR automatically. Critical for sites with unstable internet.

Edge storage: most Dahua IP cameras support up to 256GB or 512GB MicroSD cards for local recording, useful as backup or for small standalone deployments without an NVR.

Multi-stream: main stream for NVR recording (high resolution), sub-stream for mobile viewing (lower bandwidth). Reduces 3G/4G data consumption when watching remotely.

This is why IP scales for offices and large sites where analog can't compete on flexibility or features.

Dahua IP Camera Series: Lite, Pro, WizSense, and WizMind

Dahua's IP lineup is split into four tiers, ordered by feature depth and price.

Lite Series: Entry IP Basic IP cameras at 2MP and 4MP. Fixed lens, standard IR up to 30m, H.265+ compression, ONVIF compliant. The right pick for small offices, retail shops, and homes where you want IP advantages (network-based, remote access) without paying for AI features.

Pro Series: Standard Professional Metal housing, IP67 weatherproof, motorised varifocal lens options, IR up to 50m, Starlight technology for clear colour video in low light. Resolutions up to 8MP (4K). This is the sweet spot for most office and warehouse deployments.

WizSense Series: AI Powered Dahua's mid-tier AI series. Built-in chip for human and vehicle detection, SMD Plus (Smart Motion Detection that filters out animals and environmental movement), and perimeter protection with line crossing and intrusion alerts. Ideal for shops, schools, and medium offices that need smarter alerts without enterprise-level cost.

WizMind Series: Enterprise AI Dahua's flagship AI line. Adds face recognition with database matching, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), people counting with heat mapping, stereo analysis, and metadata search (search recordings by clothing colour, gender, vehicle type). Built for banks, jewellery shops, large factories, smart parking, and ANPR gate access.

Dahua IP Camera Price in Pakistan — What Drives the Cost

Pricing depends on six factors, in order of impact:

  1. Series tier — Lite (entry) is cheapest; WizMind (enterprise AI) carries the highest premium. Each tier roughly doubles the price.
  2. Resolution — 2MP is the cheapest, 5MP is the value sweet spot, 4K (8MP) carries a premium.
  3. AI capability — Basic motion detection (Lite) vs SMD Plus (WizSense) vs face recognition + ANPR (WizMind).
  4. Lens type — fixed 2.8mm or 3.6mm is cheaper, motorised varifocal adds 30–50% to the unit price.
  5. Form factor — bullet and dome are baseline; PTZ and ANPR specialty cameras cost 4× to 10× more.
  6. PoE class — standard PoE switch is cheaper than PoE+ or PoE++ switches needed for higher-power cameras.

A complete Dahua IP system also includes the NVR (4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 channels), SATA hard drives (1TB to 12TB depending on retention requirements), CAT6 cabling, an unmanaged or managed PoE switch, RJ45 connectors, mounting brackets, and licensing fees if you use enterprise VMS software.

Key Features of Modern Dahua IP Cameras

Resolution from 2MP to 12MP — covering everything from basic monitoring to forensic-grade evidence capture. 4K (8MP) is the standard for face capture in retail and banking.

Starlight technology — Pro and WizMind models capture full-colour video in 0.005 lux conditions using larger image sensors. The closest IP gets to seeing in the dark.

Smart IR & IR up to 100m — adjusts infrared intensity automatically so close objects don't overexpose and far objects stay visible. WizMind PTZs with active IR illuminators reach 200m.

WDR / HLC / BLC — Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas in the same frame (essential for shop entrances facing direct sunlight). HLC suppresses headlight glare. BLC handles backlit subjects.

3D-DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) — keeps low-light footage usable without smearing detail.

H.265+ Smart Codec — same hard drive stores roughly 2× the footage compared to H.264, and 4× compared to MJPEG. Critical for keeping 60–90 days of retention affordable on large systems.

ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment) — recordings continue on camera SD card during network outages, syncing back to NVR when connection returns. No footage gaps.

Edge AI processing — WizSense and WizMind cameras run AI directly on the camera chip, not the NVR. Reduces NVR load and works even if the NVR is offline.

P2P cloud — no port forwarding or static IP needed for remote access. Scan QR code in DMSS app and the system connects through Dahua's cloud bridge.

ONVIF Profile S/T/G — compatibility with third-party NVRs and VMS platforms like Milestone, Genetec, and Synology Surveillance Station.
